Thank you so much for your inquiry about engaging my husband Darryl in your retreat experiences and services.

I am Pamela Slim, and Darryl and I co-founded the K'é Community Lab, where we provide space, healing and support for BIPOC entrepreneurs in our local community. I am also a long-time business coach and writer. Here is more about our project:

Darryl and I talk through ways to honor how he shares his medicine ways and teachings with different communities while also attending to our real-world needs as parents of college-age children and all that entails.

Traditionally within the Diné community, there are known ways to provide offerings for specific ceremonies. Medicine people often charge fixed fees along with requesting additional offerings such as tobacco, turquoise or fabric.

When working outside of his clan community, we approach Darryl's services as any wellness educator would, while knowing that there is not such a clear delineation of "I give you this fee and you give me this service," since when prayer is involved, sometimes time and preparation do not fit neatly into hourly containers, as it would for a coach or a therapist. Darryl often spends hours or days getting ready for a one or two hour presentation, involving prayer, visits to the desert to gather medicine, and preparation of medicine bundles.

Here are ways to engage with Darryl to honor this balance:

Retreat services

Darryl has a minimum $1,000/day fee for doing an offsite retreat, plus direct expenses for travel and/or accommodations if there is an overnight required.

During this time, he can hold space for ceremony and/or individual conversations for up to 6 hours.

Any time that falls out of the 6 hours is at the rate of $300 for a 90-minute session.

This offering is given to Darryl at the beginning of the day.

• Protection Prayers
• Illness 
• Work or family challenges
• Suicide prevention
• Grieving
• Parents and kids issues
• Military veteran support
